THE HAUNTED DOORBELL

Several years ago we bought a small Halloween doorbell during the Halloween season. It was cute, but had several drawbacks. We have always wanted a real doorbell system that we could record our own chime and use year round.

haunted doorbellThanks to Dimangoâ, the largest manufacturer of wireless doorbells in North America, you now can hear your favorite scary sound effect, song or even your own personal greeting when someone presses your door chime button!

It's so easy, just record your sound effect or music using the internal microphone or plug microphone cord (included) into your computer, radio or CD player. Record up to 10 seconds of your favorite tune or sound. You may also select from two pre-recorded tunes, ding-dong or Westminster Chimes. Authentic wood cover.

  • Superior sound and authentic chime styling add an elegant touch to any home.
  • Different sounds for front, back and other doors by adding additional button modules.
  • Up to 150-foot operating range.
  • 32 selectable codes block interference from outside signals.

Mount with screws or double face tape (included)
Uses (2) 3-volt lithium batteries (included and installed)

Below are a few of the ways we've used our Record-A-Chime:

Sounds
Addams Family "Gong"
Wild Screams

Howling Wolf

Music
Theme from the movie "Halloween"

Selected portion from the Funeral March
Theme from the movie "Psycho"

In addition to using music or sound effects CD's to record your chime from, there's a ton of spooky WAV files available on the Net that you can download and record into the Record-A-Chime.

You can also use these as part of your haunt by placing the doorbell unit behind tombstones, in trees, in closets, anywhere you want a sound effect to emanate from. Then when the unsuspecting visitor passes by, you press the chime button. We're going to use it for our Christmas greeting as well. Check your local hardware store for details.
